Powerful Pictures - diversity in community energy

With the support of our friends at Your Co-op Energy and Octopus Energy, we’re excited to launch Younity’s first photography competition - Powerful Pictures.

Powerful Pictures invites people across the country to share photographs that celebrate diversity and inclusion in the world of community energy. Whether its age, gender or ethnicity, we’re welcoming any image that showcases the vibrant and varied nature of community energy, and the people at the heart of it.

This campaign starts on Tuesday 27th April and closes on Friday 2nd July 2021. To enter this competition, you must submit your photo via the Instagram app or via our website form above, using the hashtag #PowerfulPictures for a chance to win. Once the competition has ended, all images will be independently reviewed, and a winner will be selected.

Prizes Include: 12 months energy supply on the Community Power Tariff + £1k cash prize from Octopus Energy to be donated to a Community Energy Group of choice, a fairphone and 12 month contract (redeemable at any time and at the end of current contract) and a year’s supply of superfast broadband (redeemable at any time and at the end of current contract).

12 months energy supply on the Community Power Tariff is limited to our fair usage policy. The Fairphone 3+ handset does not include a charger. 12 Months Superfast Broadband Superfast Fibre package. Includes: Unlimited downloads, line rental and free internet security. Average download speed 38 Mbps.

The competition ends on the 2nd July, and each entry will be subject to a judging panel. The prize winners will be contacted once a decision is made. All prizes are donatable to a person of your choice or charitable causes, but are not refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. If there is any dispute about the validity of any entry or any other aspect of the promotion, this will be decided by Younity. Our decision regarding any aspect of the promotion is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. We will issue a list of winners’ names and prizes within 30 days after the closing date of the promotion upon request. Entry to this promotion shall constitute your acceptance of these terms and conditions, and agreement to be bound by them. These terms and conditions take effect immediately upon entry to the promotion. We reserve the right to reject any entry, withhold the prize and disqualify you from the promotion if we suspect you of failing to comply with these terms and conditions or of fraud, cheating or dishonesty. We accept no responsibility for entries not successfully received by us, or which are delayed, due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
