Community Power Club 2.0
We're excited to introduce our Licence Exempt Supply offering, a brand-new product designed to help community generators earn more from their projects by supplying energy to their members and local communities.
How it works

Your generation is matched half-hourly to your club's consumption to calculate the license-exempt supply

The avoided levies create savings, which are then split as extra income for generators and as bill discounts for club members.

Getting invovled is easy, sign up through our PPA and club members join through the Community Power Tariff, giving another extra boost to community energy across the country.
While you fill your club with the members that matter to you, we’ve partnered with Octopus Energy Business to fill any spare extra spots with their business customers, so you can start maximising value for your organisation from day one.
What does this mean for your members?
With your club, you’ll be able to invite households and businesses you choose to share in the benefits of the LES module...that's really important to us.
Every club will have its own dashboard, making it easy for members to see how much of their electricity use has been matched with generation. They’ll also be able to track how the club is performing overall, helping everyone better understand their energy use and maximise their matching.
When members match the club’s generation, they’ll receive a discount on their electricity bill. The size of the discount will vary depending on the levy rates during each half-hour period.

Who’s eligible to join?
To take part in a Community Power Club, the generator will need to have an active PPA with Younity.
For households to join, they’ll need to be on the Community Power Tariff, the only tariff on the market powered entirely by community-generated electricity. So it’s a double win for the sector.
We also know this tariff won’t suit every household, for example those with solar panels or EVs. That’s why we’ll also support a number of exceptions through the Octopus Energy Flex tariffs.
Our Community Energy Club is designed to help community generators pass on even more benefits to their local communities. But it doesn’t stop there; we also help energy users shift their consumption to better align with the grid, using a simple, tailored dashboard.
