Community energy producers

Sell your energy

We want to purchase as much community energy as we can from community-owned projects across the UK. And thanks to our partnership with Your Co-op Energy, every kilowatt will power homes sustainably through Co-op Energy's Community Power Tariff. Not only is this one of the most ethical tariffs around, but as the UK's only member-owned energy supplier, their values are already aligned with every single community across the country.

Read our energy producers case studies to find out about some of the existing projects we support.

Community energy projects we support

We help community energy projects all over the country to sell their power to consumers through Co-op Energy's Community Power Tariff. We work with projects of all shapes and sizes, and we often help to fund their ambitions too. Take a look at our map of community energy partners...

The Powering Communities Fund

Here’s another unique idea from Younity. For every new customer that buys their energy through the Co-op Community Power Tariff (which is energy from our existing community energy projects), we’ll donate £10 to our own Powering Communities Fund that will be given as grants to support the ideas and ambitions of community energy groups across the country. We’ve already donated thousands, and we can’t wait to share much, much more.

Read our blog to find out everything you need to know about community energy.

Upcoming events

Like any industry, Covid-19 has scuppered a lot of the events we had planned over the coming months. But as the world continues to recover, the Younity event hub will grow to become the go-to place for events covering everything from updates, to new developments and debates from the world of community energy.
